In the past year, the American Red Cross of Northern Utah has responded to the following:
46 disasters. The Red Cross has provided emergency shelter, food, clothing, and needed prescription medicines to 685 people displaced by disasters, mainly house fires.
291 emergency requests from military families. Service to Armed Forces caseworkers communicated vital information from families in our community to their loved ones stationed far from home.
1676 disabled and elderly clients with overdue gas and power bills. Community Services counselors kept power and gas on for vulnerable people about to lose utility services.
34,402 individuals requesting training in life-saving skills. Red Cross Health and Safety instructors taught classes in CPR, first aid, lifeguarding, emergency response and babysitting.

Each year, the Northern Utah Chapter of the American Red Cross touches the lives of thousands of people in 4 Northern Utah Counties. Delivering emergency services to victims of local disasters; training local residents in lifesaving skills; delivering hundreds of emergency messages for local families with loved ones in the armed forces.
